Case: your own material
Who this is for: people with concrete expression goals — an English meeting next month, an interview coming up, a trip where you’ll be ordering food.
Textbook dialogues always fall half-short: they don’t teach what you need to say. Craft flips it around — you say it in your language first, AI rewrites it idiomatically, synthesises the audio, and you practise your own sentence.
Step 1: list what you actually need to say this week
Section titled “Step 1: list what you actually need to say this week”Don’t rehearse “How are you” — you can already say that. Grab a note and write the expressions that actually stuck you in real situations:
- Meeting: “Let’s pilot this plan for one quarter and review the data next quarter.”
- Daily: “I’m running late for work today.”
- Interview: “I led a team of three at my last company.”
Each line is one practice item.
Step 2: turn it into English in Craft
Section titled “Step 2: turn it into English in Craft”Craft has two modes (one page in Enjoy Player; two side-panel entries in the web app):
| Express (default) | Advanced | |
|---|---|---|
| How | Speak your language → speech recognition → AI rewrite → synthesise | Paste or type text → “Translate” and “Synthesise” panels |
| Best for | Thoughts as they occur — fastest | Text you’ve already drafted and want to polish |
For “今天上班快迟到了”, the Express pipeline runs:
- Hold to speak (your language, or just type);
- Speech recognition turns it into text — confirm it’s right;
- AI rewrites it idiomatically — I’m running late for work. (the literal “I will be late to go to work today” is stiff);
- Pick a voice and speed, synthesise — one library item saved.
Step 3: practise it like any material
Section titled “Step 3: practise it like any material”The result lands in your library — shadowing, pronunciation scoring, pitch contour, vocabulary, everything works as usual. There’s one unique benefit: you just needed this sentence, or will need it soon, so you’ll dare to use it in real life — far more natural than textbook “translationese”.
Save the rewritten expression into vocabulary — the AI rewrite is your “expression upgrade log”, and reviewing words reviews the upgrade too.
Step 4: keep it rolling
Section titled “Step 4: keep it rolling”- Say it when it happens: keep Express at hand, collect 5–10 items a week, one minute each;
- Replay weekly: find last week’s items in history and shadow them once quickly;
- By scenario: two weeks before an interview, turn the ten sentences of your self-introduction into material and drill them.
Pair this case with
Section titled “Pair this case with”- Craft: say what you mean — both modes in detail;
- Echo (shadowing) — what to do with the synthesised audio;
- Credits & plans — what synthesis costs.
